While walking through the forest in Ball's Bluff Battlefield Regional Park, I came across this bedding area used by a few deer the night before. You'll notice the leaves kept dry by the deer's body through the previous night's light rain.
Shortly after I found a bedding area used by a few deer over the previous night, I came across this herd of 6 deer (about 50 away from me in this photo).
A photo from this weekend's excursion to Ball's Bluff Battlefield Regional Park in Leesburg, VA. There was a light rain the night before that provided some great contrast in the forest - and some slippery trails.
