The trail is nearly 6 miles round trip. It was monsoon season - and there had been a major rainfall the night before that flooded the entire trail area. In fact, the creek was still at flood stage when we arrived at the trailhead. Several sections of the trail were still covered in standing water (though the creek had receded back into its banks). We helped a hiker in another group who fell and sprained his knee. And then we turned the corner and there were the falls. The flow was still higher than normal despite having drained most of the water from the previous night's rainfall. Another band of rain was approaching and the wind was blowing strongly kicking the mist all around the boxed-in trail end. That made it challenging to get long exposure captures. All-in-all, it was a good hike - as are most hikes with an interesting story. :)
